Plants make you beautiful!

I am back from an amazing week at The Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle. If you missed it this year you will want to mark your calendars for next year the dates are Feb 17-21. It is the largest flower shows on the west coast and the only one with not only over the top displays but also educational seminars included. I am still processing all of the inspiring ideas!!! This year there was a new group that was part of the show, Fleurs de Villes who teamed up with local floral designers to create these over the top floral mannequins.

I spoke at the show on Lavender and "The beauty of Herbs" and loved meeting everyone. I totally appreciate everyone who came to my talks and supported me!!! Here are a few of the recipes that I shared. One for my favorite English Lavender Bath and another For a Parsley Facial Mask. Enjoy you are all Beautiful!!! xoxo Janice

English Lavender Bath

1 cup dreid lavender buds

2 cups oatmeal

1 /2 cup baking soda

Place all he ingredients inside a food processor or blender. Grind until you have a smooth powder. To use: Pour 1 /2 cup into your bath as you fill your tub. Store any leftover bath in a container with a tight fitting lid.

Yield: 28 ounces

Parsley Facial Mask

Finely chopped parsley is soothing to blotchy or troubled complexions. To deep cleanse and freshen normal to dry skin, add some parsley to a few tablespoons of sour cream or, for oily skin to a well beaten egg white or some aloe vera gel. Spread the mixture onto your face and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.

Both of these recipes are from "Natural Beauty from the Garden."

Here are some more photos from the show:

Happy Spring!

xoxo Janice
