Do you need a good hand cream?

If you have been washing your hands more -- I think we all are! Then you may need a rich all natural hand cream to place by all your sinks. This simple cream recipe that is featured in all of my books in one version or another is really a "Use what you have" recipe. You can use water, herbal tea, any natural oil, beeswax or emulsifying wax (purchase online or at a natural food store) and in minutes have a really nice skin soothing and protecting cream.

Here is the recipe:

Natural Hand Cream

1/4 cup hot water or herbal tea

1/8 teaspoon borax or baking soda

1 /2 cup natural oil (I like to use olive oil or almond oil)

2 Tablespoons grated beeswax or emulsifying wax

Dissolve the borax in the hot water and set aside. Place the oil and wax in a heat resistant jar or container. Make a water bath on your stove top using a shallow pan place the jar inside and heat gently until the wax begins to melt. Stir well until all the wax is melted and the oil is warmed. Place the warm oil mixture in a bowl or blender and slowly add the warm water -- whisk until you have a light creamy mixture or cream. Your cream will thicken as it cools. Stir well and spoon into a clean container. To use: Massage into clean skin. This is especially nice for dry, rough skin spots.

Yield: 6 ounces

You are beautiful!!! Be well - we are all in this together -- Oh and Happy Earth Day -- 50 years!!!!

xoxo Janice
